Le Tapir

Next to our Gallery we have our new restaurant Le Tapir, where you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner or just a good coffee or fresh fruit juice while looking out for hummingbirds and quetzals. Our chef prepares you fresh home-made pasta dishes and delicious plates decorated with fresh organic herbs from our own herb garden.

Enjoy a lunch with a beautiful view in this cozy and modern glass restaurant, or enjoy the warmth of the ethanol chimneys with a look over our illuminated garden during the chilly nights.

The restaurant is open 7 days a week, from 7.00 AM to 9.00 PM. During opening hours breakfast, lunch or dinner à la carte can be ordered. Breakfast is included in the rates and served between 7.00 AM and 9.00 AM, lunch is open from 12.00 MD until 16.30 PM and dinner is served between 17.30 PM and 21.00 PM.

Behind the restaurant, scattered in our garden, we have created different places where we grow our own organic herbs; without using pesticides and insecticides, and fertilized with worm compost produced from the organic waste from our restaurant.

Little signs indicate the name of each herb and its provenance, so you can auto-guide yourself along around 20 known or more exotic species of herbs that grow in this fresh climate.

During lunch and dinner you can find these herbs on your plate, as ingredients as well as decoration. Before each meal is prepared and served, our chef harvests the necessary herbs and some vegetables such as arugula and spinach. All the decoration on your plate, even the flowers, are edible. So, come to our cloud forest lodge and enjoy our very fresh servings in a beautiful setting.
