“Right now I’m sitting in our cottage living room, looking out the large window into the mountains. It’s 5.00 in the evening and as in every evening the clouds are drifting in. That scene is one of my favourites, because I’m a mountain woman. Also I’m a ‘birder’ and all my life I have longed to come here to see the magnificent feathered ones. Carlos has done such an excellent job to get us where we can see them best. I’m so grateful to him. The search for the resplendant quetzal was exciting; he was persistant in the search and willing to “drag” this. Dantica Lodge is a special place, a little Eden of ecology, perce shared community and mutual respect. The beauty and quiet shows in the rainforest/cloud forest and in the faces of the people.”
