Dantica has two galleries with contemporary and indigenous art from various Latin American countries. One is located at Plaza Herradura – Jacó, the other at the Lodge in San Gerardo de Dota. Everything is elaborated in natural materials and traditional techniques.
From necklaces to furniture, ceramics to hammocks, wooden benches to bags we offer you a large variety of products at a high level both in design and quality. Many products we show are still in use in a number of indigenous and rural communities in Latin America. From pre-colombian techniques to contemporary craftsmanship this art can be used in many ways and for many purposes.
Our products come from Argentina, Bolivia, Brasil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Panamá, Perú and Venezuela. In this way we show you the diversity of cultures on this continent united in one single space.
Dantica Gallery – Plaza Herradura, Jacó
The gallery is located 3 kilometers before reaching Jacó next to the Automercado at the Plaza Herradura Shopping Center, at the turn off to the Marriot Hotel - Los Sueños. Opening hours are 10.00 AM to 7.00 PM, 7 days a week.
Dantica Gallery - San Gerardo de Dota
This galllery is at the Lodge and offers a beautiful view over the cloud forest covered mountains. It is open 7 days a week, for public from 7.00 AM to 5.00 PM and for clients staying at the Lodge from 7.00 AM to 8.00 PM. The gallery consists of three large exposition rooms dedicated to indigenous art, jewelry, gifts, decoration and interior design.

In the gallery
we have a restaurant with terrace where you can
have breakfast and lunch or just a good coffee or
fresh fruit juice while looking out for hummingbirds
and quetzals. We have fireplaces with some comfortable
couches for the chilly nights.
The
restaurant is also open 7 days a week, from 7.00
A.M. to 5.00 P.M. During opening hours breakfast
or lunch à la carte can be ordered at any time.
Have a look at our breakfast
menu.
The
terrace has tables and chairs for breakfast/lunch
and some comfortable beach chairs pointed towards
the bird- and hummingbird-feeders; a good place
to relax in the early morning sun. From here you
can see the American swallow-tailed kite and red
tailed hawk flying by closely.
For
dinner there is the restaurant only of Doña Miriam
only 500 meters away
with very good local food at a very reasonable price.
Especially the fresh trout and blackberry juice
are worth trying. If you prefer to go there walking
under thousands of stars, every lodge has a flashlight.
This restaurant also provides room service.
